Job description

We're looking for an innovative Product Designer to join our team, someone who is willing to TAKE OWNERSHIP of our products, who is able to WEAR MULTIPLE HATS, who is able to handle MULTIPLE PRIORITIES at the same time, and who is passionate about creating seamless, user-centric designs that enhance the online shopping experience. You will play a key role in shaping the look, feel, and usability of our platform (including the e-commerce platform and our internal tools), directly impacting our mission to make quality meals accessible to our company clients.

Core Responsibilities

  • Product Vision: Collaborate with the leadership team to define and refine the product vision and strategy. Ensure that all design efforts are aligned with the long-term vision and goals of the startup.
  • User Experience Design: Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs for our web and mobile platforms. Focus on crafting intuitive and delightful user experiences.
  • User Research: Conduct user research to gather insights into user needs and behaviors. Utilize this data to inform design decisions and iterate on product features.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with CEO, engineers, marketplace team, and operation team to ensure design vision is aligned with business goals and technical & business constraints. Participate in all phases of product development from roadmap, concept to launch.
  • Branding and Visual Design: Develop and maintain a cohesive visual identity for our brands and our e-commerce platform. This includes designing graphics, UI elements, icons, and ensuring consistency across all user touchpoints.
  • Design Systems: Establish and maintain a design system to ensure product consistency and efficiency in design and development processes.

Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field, AND 1+ years of working experience.
    • Can speak Mandarin is preferred.
    • Proven experience in product design, with a portfolio showcasing your work in e-commerce, preferably in the food sector.
    • Proficiency in design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Adobe Creative Suite).
    • Working knowledge of task management and collaboration tools JIRA.
    • Strong understanding of user-centered design principles, responsive design, and mobile UI/UX.
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment.
    • Creative thinking with attention to detail and a passion for delivering an exceptional user experience.
    • Nice-to-have: working experience designing e-commerce or marketplace platforms.
    • Outstanding work ethic and attention to detail
    • Strong knowledge of HTML and CSS
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and Mandarin is a plus
    • Strong critical thinking ability
